Energy Information and Data Division

The division provides reference service related to energy research and policy to the academic community, government agencies, non-profit organizations, business and industry, and the general public. The CES librarian obtains research studies and legislation related to energy policy at the state and federal levels in response to CES, legislative, and executive branch requests. The librarian monitors and assesses print and non-print information resources for their pertinence to energy issues and their applicability to a select library collection that supports the reference services.

The division maintains a database of statistics on oil and gas reserves; drilling and production; refining and refined products; electricity generation, cost, and consumption; and energy employment, wages, prices, taxes, and revenue.
