Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Cynthia Sampson (she/her) got her PhD in Communication Studies from LSU in 2020. Her dissertation focuses on audiences, fandom, and cultural studies. While she still likes to watch a lot of TV and hang out in some weird parts of the Internet, her research has expanded beyond the screen to explore pedagogy and disciplinary history. Dr. Sampson is invested in how belonging operates whether that be in performance, in classrooms, or in archives.
