Call for Papers

Louisiana Energy Research Symposium (LERS)

Date: Thursday, October 16, 2025, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Location: LSU's Main Campus. Baton Rouge, Louisiana

The Louisiana Energy Research Symposium (LERS) invites submissions from researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and industry professionals interested in presenting innovative ideas, applied research, or case studies related to energy in the Gulf Coast region, and Louisiana specifically.

Submissions from across the sciences, engineering, social sciences, and other relevant disciplines are welcome—particularly those that address energy systems, policy, markets, technology, infrastructure, or environmental and economic considerations within the region.

To encourage broad participation, we welcome a range of submission formats—from brief abstracts to full papers. However, proposals with more detailed submissions (such as full papers or extended abstracts) will be considered especially attractive, as they allow for more robust peer review and program planning.

Presentations may include academic research, technical overviews, or applied work highlighting real-world applications. Presenters should tailor their content to a diverse audience that spans disciplines and sectors.

• Submission Deadline: September 6, 2025
• Notification of Acceptance: October 1, 2025
• Presentation Slides Due: October 15, 2025
