Manship digital advertising students win Region 7 National Student Advertising Competition

Manship digital advertising students have won the regional round of the National Student Advertising Competition in Johnson City, Tenn., for the second year in a row. They will move on to the semi-finals, where eight schools will be chosen for the finals in Anaheim, Calf., in June. The American Advertising Federation sponsors the competition.
The LSU students developed an integrated marketing campaign for Snapple, this year’s corporate client for more than 200 university chapters around the country. The LSU team competed against schools in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. Also during the regional competition, Paige Roberts, a native of Montgomery, Texas, was named best presenter, and LSU AdFed president Hannah Alkadi, a native of Baton Rouge, won the Jan Gardner Memorial Scholarship, which recognizes academically talented students in advertising-related disciplines, helping them complete their undergraduate education. Professors Yongick Jeong and Jennifer Macha advised the team.
In addition to Roberts and Alkadi, the rest of the Manship digital advertising students were Ashley Estave, a native of Central, La.; Madeline Engler, a native of Metairie, La.; Sean Averette, a native of Baton Rouge; Michael Grob, a native of Baton Rouge; Jason King, a native of Baton Rouge; Seth Hagan, a native of Covington, La.; Hailey Caldwell, a native of Mandeville, La.; Michael Haarala, a native of Ruston, La.; and Alexande DeBlieux; a native of Houma, La.
