Biography

Dr. Margaret DeFleur was named associate dean of graduate studies and research in August 2004. DeFleur was director of the master’s program in health communication at Boston University. Earlier academic positions include visiting scholar at Harvard University’s School of Public Health and adjunct professor at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. DeFleur received her bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Miami and her Ph.D. from Syracuse University.
