President's Address

Hello LSU Staff,

December invites reflection on our achievements, the season of gratitude, and the promise of what’s ahead. Across LSU and the LSU System, our staff show up every day with dedication, consistency, and care for one another and our students. Thank you for the long hours, the commitment, and the impact you make. LSU’s success is built on your work, and it is never achieved alone. As LSU continues to grow and serve Louisiana, I also extend gratitude to university leadership and the Board of Supervisors for their continued belief in the work we do.

Staff Senate isn’t finished. Dependent Tuition remains a priority and will continue to be a focus as we enter the new year. This month, a request for dependent tuition consideration was presented (2:00:04 to 2:02:28) during the Board of Supervisors meeting on behalf of the Council of Staff Advisors, and Staff Senate continues to collect feedback. Finally, a big thanks to LSU Staff Senate, we have amazing staff who volunteer to help make LSU one of the best universities to work at.

This fall brought meaningful progress, and I look forward to what we will accomplish together this spring. Wishing you a joyful holiday season; may you find time to rest, connect with loved ones, and honor those who are not able to be with us this year. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to me or connect with your Staff Senate representative.

As always, it’s a great day to be a Tiger.

Quinneka McDonald
